• 1873 Established as the Addison Press
• 1886 Bought by Mr. Tom Luker – import & sale of watches, clocks, books, fancy  goods and bicycles
• 1889 First company to import and sell Pneumatic Cycle tyres. New showroom on  Anna Salai(Chennai) opened
• 1914 Sales & servicing of cars
• 1942 Acquired by Amalgamations – sales and service of imported cars, agriculture sprayers& dusters, steel cabinets, Furniture   etc.
• 1955 The management of Amalgamations decided to focus on the manufacture of cutting tools which held greater potential in the   changing industrial scene.  Amalgamations ceased its import and retail trade operations.
• 1955 Manufacture of HSS cutting tools, carbide tipped tools & grey iron castings
• 1960 Manufacture of machine tools
• 1963 Started export of cutting tools
• 1991 Excellence Award for achieving the highest export performance
• 1997 Accredited with ISO-9002 TUV certificate, Germany
• 1998 Introduced ERP computer system
• 1999 Commenced manufacture of Broaches.
• 2005 Commenced manufacture of solid carbide tools
• 2007 Relocated to the state-of-the art manufacturing facilities at
   Irungattukottai(near Chennai)
• 2008 Accredited with QS-14000 Environment Management system certificate.
